Welcome! We are all here to support you in any way we can! Realizing your problem is the first step! Best of luck to you!0

HI! Welcome!, knowing hom many calories you eat by adding them in your daily report, makes you realise how much "it costs' to eat that piece of bread or that piece of something. You've got to stick to the habit to write down everything you eat, so you eat less, and you realize how many calories you have in every food. So you make better choise after that. Good luck!0

kimber,
Nice to meet you! Welcome!
****Breakfast is so important, not only for your stress level, but to kickstart your metabolism and get your brain fueled for the day. ******
-If you can, try to eat a really good breakfast, even if you have to prepare it the night before and nuke in the morning, or eat it on the run. My breakfast is 1/4 cup Granola, three tablespoons of fat-free-plain Dannon yogurt, five chopped almonds, and a sliced & steamed golden delicious apple with skin, sprinkled with 1tsp Splenda. I drink hot tea with one Tbl soy milk. (Breakfast is 219 calories total).
-Have some "Eggbeaters" on hand for a quick protein, and variation.
**************************************
-Don't eat anything for two hours before bedtime. As Oprah said, "Not a Cheeri - not - an 'O'". Nada, nothing. Not one grape.
-Caffeine-free tea, like "Sleepy-time" without sugar (Splenda is great) will help you unwind calorie-free, and break the cravings before bed.
-Drink water all day long.
-Buy a small cooler, and some refreezable blue ice bags. Refreeze at night and take your food with you in the cooler in the morning if you take salad or meat.
-Carry small portions of veggies and apples when you leave the house.
-Edamame, is my favorite veg snack, but I try to eat some broccoli raw or lightly steamed or nuked, and a little balsamic vinegar for taste
-Low-fat or fat-free string cheese is good to take along too, and it is fine all day without refrigeration.
-Buy the premixed salad mixes. They are good, and keep for a couple days before they start to brown after you open them. Take some to work, or wherever you go in the daytime. Add 1/2 small avocado for "good" oil.
-Buy only whole grains. Whole wheat english muffins are good. I buy Orowheat - eat 1/2 muffin (toasted) as a portion, with olive oil or the tiniest portion of butter or margarine. It is fast and will keep you going.
- No soda - or pop - depending on where you live ;-)
Exercise is the best thing for stress. You must make the time and the commitment to yourself to feel better.
Stay in touch with us. We are in this together. I find it helpful to read all the old posts.
Good luck. You will succeed. But, you need to eat to lose weight & help your strees level - and not only at 11PM! Take care of yourself.
