Well you get back on track by doing what you did before... you just do it.
How did you get off track?

    And welcome back TrailBlazn, ;)

Hi, most people will have a bad day now and then and go off track but it's how you deal with it that counts.. Come back fighting ;) x

Just go back to doing what you did before - don't feel the need to "make up" for the slip by punishing yourself.

It is what you do consistently over time which will largely determine your success rather than what you do on occasion.

Stick at it and you'll be good.

I agree it happens to all of us I am in the same boat. I let Labor day holiday cheat, lead to a whole holiday weekend of cheating. I usually allow myself whatever I want to eat once a week but since Labor day it is hard for me to get back on my paleo inspired plan. I have been staying under calorie goal most days but I have started allowing myself to eat processed crap again and I can tell by the way I feel. I am moody, sluggish and irritable. Something I wasn't when eating a cleaner diet. I am finding it hard to get back to a cleaner eating pattern because I am wanting sugar in the form of sodas, candy and cookies. I love the post everyone "Just do it like before". That is my motivation today not junk and take it one day at a time. Also no cheat days for a couple of weeks so I don't landslide again. We can do this Tabby you recognized that you were struggling that is the first step and you realized it before it snowballed int to more pounds to lose. You got this.

Just pick up where you left off and let your mistake go. Try not to do it again because you see how difficult it is to deal with.

That was what I was thinking. Or you had a few low calorie days when you meant to eat more?

Perhaps you should try to not be so restrictive with your "diet". If you have problems sticking to it, you're going to run into this problem again and again. Try incorporating the foods you enjoy in smaller portions into your calorie goal.

Your ticker shows you're trying to lose, so one way to enjoy smaller portions is to focus on nutrient dense foods for the majority of your intake, and then add in smaller "treats". I go for full flavor, quality options that I can feel satisfied with when I eat it in smaller portions.

Great advice. I know a lot of people reach for 2 lbs a week but many find its too restrictive, leading to binges. So many will find its more beneficial to go at a slower pace. I know i do whatever i can to get more calories because even at 2400 or so, i can still find myself wanting more food...
