ok, so how much cereal should I eat and milk? My serve sizes are up in the air? I usually add fruit too on top. Is toadt&butter with marmalade and fruit an acceptable alternative? I don't like eating a big breakfast?

There are no rules. Just eat an amount that fits into your calorie and macro goals for the day

You don't even need to eat breakfast if you don't want to. I tend to eat a larger breakfast around 10am on my days off but I tend not to eat much on work days.
Eating well or healthily is about your full weeks/months balance really. One meal doesn't make or break that.

You need to balance your calories out although our metabolism is much faster in the morning so technically you should be eating bigger breakfasts and smaller dinners. If you have a small dinner in the evening on regular basis you should start having an appetite for bigger breakfast, it is all about the change in eating pattern :) hope it helps and good luck!

However much you want as long as it fits your goals. You don't have to eat a big breakfast. You don't have to eat any breakfast. Don't force yourself to change your eating patterns. There is zero reason to do that unless you wind up hangry hours before your next meal.

    Oh man...
    Oh boy...
Here we go...the 19th century is back...

Also, don't forget to never eat sweets first. Sweets are fire, they will burn your stomach.
In order to eat sweets, you firstly have to eat savory foods that are cooling to your stomach. And then safely place the sweets on top.
THAT'S why we eat eat desserts for last people!!!

eat whatever you want as long as it fits in your calories.

i prefer to save my calories for lunch and dinner, which is why i usually eat something small (like yogurt) for breakfast

If I'm working out early ( which I prefer) I normally have a protein shake and some oatmeal with either almond milk or cows milk and a little salt , if I'm at work I normally have bran flakes for the fibre or a bowl of scrambled eggs and a handful of nuts with a black coffee , that's what I eat 9 times out of 10 for breakfast

Check out this article http://www.leangains.com/2012/06/why-does-breakfast-make-me-hungry.html and in general I suggest reading about intermittent fasting.

Every day I eat oatmeal with fruit...lately it's peaches while the peach season is still going. I'll add in 1/2 a scoop of vanilla protein powder and some almond milk and I'm good. Sometimes I'll add in a tbsp. of natural pb too. I always soak my oats overnight, drain, add water and then cook that way. I soak all my oats, nuts and beans overnight.

Lately I eat 5 ounces of whole milk yogurt (pre-packaged) topped with a quarter cup of a dried fruit/seed/nut mix. It's over 15 grams of protein. I don't have cholesterol issues so I allow full-fat dairy in appropriate serving sizes but I know everyone has a different view on dairy!

I try to have a fruit and veggie smoothie every morning. I add in chia seeds, flax seeds or hemp seeds and always use non dairy milk of some kind. When I get that smoothie in I tell myself that I've started the day with some raw goodness. Oh and I do end up eating toast or eggs sometimes too. :)
