Intermittent fasting question

I'm trying out IF starting today.
Tell me if I understand this properly-
I woke up and I've only had water and coffee this morning then worked out still fasting. It's 1pm here and I'm about to eat. Then I wait 5-6 hours and workout again after my food digests and my insulin levels aren't so high, to burn more fat. Then I'll eat again around 7-8pm, and that's my cut off time. Eat nothing else tonight. Wake up tomorrow and do the same.

Fasted exercise does not burn more fat. It's recommended that women start with a 10 hour eating window and 14 hour fast. It doesn't matter how many meals you eat in your window. Give 10:14 a try for a few weeks and then gradually increase your fasting if desired.0
