Sure you can! That's 5 pounds a month and totally do-able! Just keep your head in the game and look for motivation and support when you feel yourself slipping! We are all here for you!

You can do it if you make changes and you want to do it. I am on a goal of 50 pounds in a year and my friend lost 50 in a year. We're both 5'2" and had about 50 to lose. If you have more to lose, I believe you can hit your goal. I have a group on Facebook at www.facebook.com/moveitandloseit where we try to keep eachother motivated and do a weekly weigh in on fridays to try to keep us all on track. Good luck to you and congrats on your engagement!

You can SO do it!!! I've never managed to stick to diets and have tried everyone under the sun!! This site seems to be working for me....its nice to be able to lose weight and get healthy with a bunch of new friends who are looking to do the same :)

You need to make a lifestyle change to make this work. You can't go on a crash diet or a severe restriction diet. Keep eating the foods you love but find a way to make them healthier. Work on portion sizes, work in fiber, fruits, veggies, lean meats. If you go on a diet that you hate you will never succeed, but a diet that makes you feel like you're not on a diet? Now that's a winner.

Start by figuring out how much you're actually eating. Take a week and log your normal food. That will give you a feel for where you are and what's taking all the calories. From there you can make a plan of what to change, what to reduce, and what to cut out or switch to healthier options.
