Tip: Ring guard

If your rings are getting loose, you can get a "ring guard" from a jeweler. It is a little band that the jeweler applies inside the back of the ring and has 2 tabs he wraps around the band to hold it in place. It is not visible from the front of the hand and barely visible from the back. It is somewhat springy so adjusts as you continue to lose weight. Cost about $10.

Mine were put on at least 50 lbs ago and aren't getting loose yet. I was really happy to have found this after losing two valued rings about 10 years ago while drying my hands in a public restroom. They slipped off into the trash can and I never realized it until too late. I really don't want to get my rings resized until I get to goal weight.

You will need to go to a "real" jeweler to get this, not a costume jewelry retail store.

Good to know. I haven't worn my wedding ring in a long time because it's so loose.

Thank you. My rings are also very loose and I'm fearful of losing them. I'll look into this.

I didn't know what these were called! Now I can go ask for them and sound informed!

Good tip! Currently I'm wearing mine in a stack with the smallest on top. They're spinning around though. I'm putting off getting them re-sized until I get to my goal weight.

I was kind of stupid about my ring--it was literally falling off my finger a few months ago, so I went and had it resized. I should have just taken it off and waited for awhile, because as I continue to drop weight the ring is getting loose again. I'm not sure that they'll be willing to resize it again. I'll have to try these and see if they work.

I was considering re-sizing but my ring is very small and delicate and I have small hands to begin with so they said I had MAYBE one chance to resize before weakening the metal. I went with a guard and I love it!

I think my fingers are the only part of my body that never got fat
