6 TBSP - C & H Powdered Sugar

4 TBSP - Whipped Cream Cheese

4 TBSP - Simply Jif Peanut Butter

1) Combine 4 TBSP Powdered sugar, peanut butter & cream cheese in bowl. Mix well, until light brown color.

2) Use some powdered sugar to powder hands (so peanut butter doesn't stick), and roll 2 TBSP (or 20 grams) or mix into a ball, and put on wax paper.

3) Freeze for a few hours.

4) Put remaining 2 TBSP of powdered sugar on a plate, and roll peanut butter balls in the sugar. (will look like powdered doughnut holes).

Enjoy!

Thank you for posting this. It looks like a treat I used to love back when I was a kid. I had been trying to find a receipe for it but was only coming up with the chocolate "buckeye" versions

I'm at work and now my mouth is watering for this. How am I supposed to eat just one at a time?

It is. I was a little disappointed it was so high...but considering there is 400 calories worth of peanut butter in these...what can you do? But it makes a good peanutbuttery treat.

Amen! I'm not sure I could eat just one. Unless I was making them as a gift, and *had* to sample one to make sure they came out right, then immediately wrap & seal the rest. Sigh.

LOL. When I made them, my husband was like "why did you only make 6"....and my reply was "because not eating ALL 6 is going to be hard enough....here eat some!" haha.

I wonder if reconstituted PB2 would work for this? Fat free whipped cream cheese? And Whey Low makes a low calorie confectioners sugar.

    If those substitutions were made

    4 TBSP reconstituted PB2 - 90 calories
4 TBSP whipped fat free cream cheese - 60 calories
6 TBSP Whey Low confectioners sugar - 72 calories

So this WHOLE recipe (if you eat all the balls!) would be 222 calories.

Now I just need to wait for my PB2 order to arrive and go online and buy some Whey Low confectioners sugar (I have the granulated and brown, but on the powdered), and I can try it out!!!

Thanks for this! That powdered sugar is WAY lower than what I used 6 TBSP = 180 cal. You'll have to let me know how you like PB2...I'm still stuck on the real thing. lol

I'm afraid I might be the same way...unless I can acclimate my tastebuds, PB2 may only be an "in emergency" replacement!

The Whey Low products, though, are EXCELLENT sugar substitutes...bake just like the real thing too!
