Roast Potatos in Fry Light

I love my roast potatoes and I am convinced that they are much better for you in Fry Light than in oil, but imagine my horror after six weeks of dieting (and losing 10lb) that according to MFP that 125g of roast potatoes in Fry Light are 511 Calories. Noooo. It doesn't even give a break down of fat, it must be a mistake - any second opinions out there.

Just log the weight of potatoes and the number of sprays as separate entries. Or create as a meal then portion size. On the nutritional info Maris piper potatoes say 204 kcal per 250g so 102kcal, then fry light at 1 or 2 kcal per spray.

I do love my FryLight, but I could never get it to produce decent roast veggies. I switched to using hassleback potatoes now, and whenever I cook a roast I just use the meat fat to make my roasties, and take the calorie hit.

I don't know what fry light is -- like a spray oil?

Anyway, never use an entry that combines foods like that -- you don't know what the creator was thinking or included. Log the potatoes using one of the good entries (double check with USDA information is uncertain) and log the spray separately.

Don't see what's unhealthy about a moderate amount of, say, olive oil, but there will likely be more calories.

I don't use those sprays. I use like a teaspoon of actual oil. I rub it on the pan and use my hands to rub the food.

Those sprays - you cannot know how many calories you have actually sprayed. Back when they first came out, I tried them and they were messy.

i use a canola oil version of that spray for some things, like when I am making pancakes. Usually use the liquid canola for everything else.

Thank you all, some good suggestions there. Frylight is a spray oil lemurcat12, what is USDA? I'll try the logging them separately. Cheers
