This combination is kicking my butt. I eat at or less than 1200 calories a day. Regularly exercise and have not seen any results. I am feeling some serious frustration. Any one have any ideas?

    I'm hypothyroid and had a hysterectomy so I'm in the same boat. I thought the same, but I ADDED calories and strength training and NOW is when I'm finally seeing size results. Feel free to FR if you want :)

    I read recently that HRT makes you retain water and so it seems as though weight loss is more difficult. How long have you been stuck?

    @goldthistime I've been stuck about 8 months.

    @chrysalis2015 I have also tried a tactical trainer for 6 weeks and increased my caloric intake to 1500 and still gained weight.

    Thank you both for responding.

    I'm hypothyroid, and went into menopause via chemotherapy plus estrogen agonist drugs (they mop up the estrogen your fat cells & adrenals make once your ovaries are out of commission).

    For whatever reason, calorie restriction and careful weighing/logging of foods seem to be working for me - 42 pounds down since mid-April. I'm sorry you're finding that approach to be unsuccessful, and hope you find a solution!
