I assume most of these posts are just that: frustrated... I got off 2 medications, and in doing so, within 2 months I've gained 15 lbs. And it is so.... embarrassing. I'm eating my calories correctly and I'm working our when I can.... I'm a full time masters student. But I also want the weight gone. Is there anything I can take to boost this? It's been 4 months of angst towards my body.... please help.

Nothing you take will change. You need to eat fewer calories than you burn - there really isn't any magic to it. If you aren't losing, you should make sure you're measuring and counting everything.

Sorry to hear that your experience has been so frustrating! I am going to post my MFP how-to below. Maybe you're already doing it all, or maybe not. I hope it helps!

Buy a food scale, weigh and log everything.

Do cardio if you want, and if you do, only eat back 50% of your calories (if you are losing faster than expected after logging for a few weeks, then up the % you eat back). Lift weights and hit your protein goal to help maintain muscle mass while losing.

Cheat meals that take you over maintenance will sabotage your efforts. Log the cheat meals too (falls under the 'log everything' rule).

Eat anything you want in moderation, keeping in mind that your diet will be easier to stick with if you chose foods that make it easier to stay under your calories without feeling hungry.

Also it would be a good idea to read some of the best forum posts such as:

dont stress....for me remembering Losing weight is not the key to happiness....happiness is the key to losing weight. So just treat your body like a temple, putting great stuff in to fuel you. Drink your water....weigh your food, that is the most accurate. Prepare your foods like a someone going into battle, you will get to where you wish to be in no time.

Eat at a calorie deficit (make sure you are actually at a deficit, first of all), track and weigh all of your food and hang in there! If you do all of the above, you'll lose weight. Medication can be a real pain at times but this isn't permanent. You can do this :)

If you have truly gained 15lbs in 2 months, that is an 875 calorie excess on a daily basis. I would use a trending graph to confirm that statement, and if it is actually the case and you're not just seeing some crazy water retention weight today, then you should reduce your intake by at least 500 calories and see how much you gain over the next week or two, and then reduce it again until you are in a deficit.

I have to say I think it's more likely that you are talking water weight in some form or other, but the reality is that if you're really gaining over 1.5lb/week then you are not monitoring your intake accurately.
