I have been comparing usda foods with comparable foods. It appears as though usda foods do not have sugar when the comparable foods show sugar. I am a diabetic and I need to tract my sugar intake as well as carbohydrates. I am not sure who entered the usda foods, but it is very helpful if I feel like I can rely on foods listed as usda foods.

I'm not sure what you're asking. Do you want an explanation of a discrepancy? If so, you're going to have to show us a concrete example.
Do you want advice? If so, please be more specific as to what it is you want advice about.

The short answer is - just because it says USDA in the name doesn't mean it's accurate.
Always try to doublecheck the figures somewhere else. A lot of the entries in the database are just wonky and incorrect.
