In order to lose body weight, you have to eat at a deficit.
Use MFP tool, log all of your food, weigh your solid food and measure the liquids. That is all you need.
There are people who make juices with vegetables and fruit for a variety of reasons. I prefer to munch mine, then I get the benefit of the fiber
Good luck in you healthy journey0 -
Juicing is great for encorporatjng veggies and fruit into your diet. Make sure you log everything. And know that this isn't a forever lifestyle. Maybe just do one juice a day?0

That sounds miserable, and will likely lead you to the same results as before. You might lose a little, but it'll be water weight, which you will gain back. The replies above have already said it - try a deficit. The only good juicing can do is help you keep a deficit for a very short amount of time - but real food can do the same, and you can keep it up for longer than a week.0 -
So no juicing? I think you guys might be right0

Juicing is not a method to lose weight. Eating (and drinking) less calories than your body burns is how you lose weight. You're much better off eating an apple than drinking apple juice. Juicing removes the fiber from whole foods which makes juice less satisfying, your body burns through it more quickly and it has more calories per gram than the whole food did.
There's nothing wrong with making your own juice but it's a waste of time and energy, let alone a miserable way to live for a week, to get all of your nutrition from juice.0 -
Maybe try juice at only 1 meal like breakfast.0
-
I find juicing to be costly and time consuming. Using it solely as a weight loss tool won't work. At the end of the week I'll juice any leftover produce that's starting to go bad and then just add it to soups or whatever, but as a solid diet plan you need nutrient dense foods in the proper quantity for your size.0

Jucing is great for supplementing your diet if you have a hard time eating your veggies, but that said, the juice from fruit can also be very high in calories (and sugar, if you pay attention to that), so that's something to watch out for. It's not unhealthy, but there's nothing magical about juicing that will make you loose weight. It's just a method of cutting calories without saying as much, since most people would have a hard time drinking a days worth of calories in the form of pure vegetable juice.
Try for something sustainable (where you eat solids and don't needlesly restrict yourself), and you'll loose weight and keep it off!0 -
@MeowNes. I think juicing is great! Below are some links to good juicing groups!
Juicing is not for immediate weight loss though. It is a nice benefit of juicing but not the reason. Juicing gives your digestive system a break and it is a nice jump start to a healthy regime of diet and exercise. If you are juicing, make sure you watch your sugar content in your juices. Also drink warm lemon water in the morning when you first get up and lots of water throughout the day.
I do lose when I juice but that is not everyone. But many find that after juicing, it makes it a bit easier for the body to run efficiently. I sleep better. I feel energetic. No bloating. And mental clarity.
Good luck on your journey.

Why would you do something again when it made you miserable and didn't deliver what you wanted the first time?0

I could use some jucying or the win!0

Day 2. . . .what sort of progress are you making? Can you open your diary for new members so they can understand what juicing and logging look like together?

Oh! Lol
Sorry.
Yeah! Add me as a friend to see my logs! The first two days where good, but today I only had orange juice for bf and I'm going to do kale for dinner. Btw. I desided to do juice for two meals and food for one. What do you think?0 -

^This. I don't understand OP. What are your goals? Are you doing this temporarily (sounds like it)? Trying to lose weight by juicing?
You do realize that you could set an appropriate calorie deficit for your height/weight and activity level, diligently log the foods you eat (even drink juice if you like it), and lose weight.... right?

@_Terrapin_ didn't realize it was offensive to give you some groups on the topic while you waited for the OP. I won't do it for you again.0
