Taking bets... mine is for pumpkin pie (and I'm definitely buying it if it is).

hmmm...Have they ever had a limited edition flavor before? It's too bad I'm not crazy about the new formula but I'm sure I'll try whatever it is, as long as it's not fruity.
I always wondered why they never turned out something caramel. I'll go with that.0 -
Definitely pumpkin pie, I won't be trying. I hate the new formula, they all taste yucky now.0

lol you were the one who first pointed it out, and I have noticed it now I found a few cookie dough bars mixed in a box at my grocery with the old formula. Do you remember if the new one is the light brown or the dark brown packaging?0 -
I'm going with pumpkin pie or pumpkin spice.
I'm also buying singles of the quest flavors I like in the new formula just to try them.0 -

The old formula comes in trays with flaps on the sides. The new formula comes in trays that have perforated tops. I haven't tried either because I can't have stevia, but I do stock them at work and that's the biggest difference I've noticed.
whatchoo talking about trays?0 -
You can always reliably tell which one it is by looking at the ingredients or nutrition info.
Boxes always have the amount of fiber printed right on them, so I just look if it says 17-19g (old) or 13/14g (new).0 -

The boxes that the bars are laying in on the shelves at the store. They come with twelve bars in them, we open the trays and set the trays on the shelf so people can purchase the bars individually.
Boxes, cartons, that's what I thought you meant. I think the color on the cookie dough package is different too. I'm like 99% sure.0 -

I would bet that it's something pumpkin related too. Pie or spice.0

I get too much fiber so I'm actually happy about that. Not crazy about the flavor change. Tastes sweeter and less chocolatey or something.0 -

I think I've been lucky enough to not try the reformulated bars. Have they made any changes to the chips or the protein powder? I was fine with a few varieties of chips and LOVE the strawberry flavor.

I haven't tried any of them yet but I'm VERY happy about the less fiber part.

I don't know but you can just read the ingredients. If it has "soluble corn fiber" it's the new kind . I went to my grocery store and bought like 3 boxes of my favorite flavors with the old recipe but once those run out, I won't be buying anymore. It's such a shame, they had such a good thing going. If you look at there FB page there is so many complaints haha.0 -

I don't think they have, but don't quote me on that. You are lucky they have a weird aftertaste to them now and tastes "corny" to me lol. Almost like dry, floury, and cakey. Idk how to describe it, but it's just not pleasant and the aftertaste is weird. It is missing the "addictive" flavor I used to like, which I think was the "ooglisarcharides" ingredient that is no longer in them.0 -

I like the s'mores. It's the new formula, isn't it? Haven't tried any of the others.0 -
Quest: The Starbucks of protein bars.
Do they at least spell your name correctly?0 -
Definitely think it's a pumpkin flavor after the Facebook post they made yesterday.0

The chocolate chunk was horrible, I didn't even finish mine.
I'm so disappointed, it took many tries with many different brands and Quest was the only one I liked the taste of.
I've got the cookies and cream and a pb chocolate one still to try, but I don't have high hopes.0 -

We must get different packaging in the UK as ours have always had perforated tops.
We haven't been sent any new type yet and I really hope we don't if they have changed the fibre in them, that is one of the main reasons I eat them. If they have lowered the fibre then I'll swap to a different 20 gram protein bar and just drink some regucol or something. They won't be worth the price tag to me.0 -
I only buy them occasionally if I'm starving and am in a bind for something quick. In terms of protein bars out there, they're the best for being low sugar. There's tasty ones out there but with the nutrition of a chocolate bar. I'd definitely go for a shake in lieu of a bar. There's protein shake bars around the area (one at my gym) so I'll stop and buy one if I'm out and about and need some food. I suppose I could bring my own water and protein powder in a mixable tumbler but I hate drinking a shake shaking it by hand.0

This made me smile. Thanks!
I do have the occasional Quest bar though (and Starbucks ha ha).0 -

I tried several flavours. They all taste the same to me - an awful, bitter, almost rancid taste that completely ruins any other flavour in the bar. I've been experimenting a lot recently: I tried Ansi cheesecake, B-up bars, several GNC bars, Victory bars, Combat Crunch bars, and Detour Simple bars. My favourite, by far, were the B-up bars. They are the only ones I will be buying again. The Combat Crunch are okay, but they are quite expensive and I still like the B-up ones better. I've left reviews of things I've tried in the thread about new products that caught your eye recently.0 -

I just got two boxes of 12 (Chocolate Brownie) from Amazon. One had the perforated top, the other didn't. But both were still the old recipe. The only way to be sure is to look at the ingredients.0 -
New flavor should be out next week in stores, i think.0

I didn't even know about this!!!
You're right, it has to be pumpkin, too many people will be mad if it's not and what company isn't catering to the pumpkin demand nowadays?
I'll be the first one at the store buying up all the boxes! I just hope the new formula doesn't ruin it! xP0 -
I'll buy one if I can find it. Unfortunately I have way too many bars and snacks in the cupboard right now!0
