My name is Christi, been on here before about 24 months ago. Just lost track and strayed. I am trying to lose my weight again. For two reasons. One for my health, because the medications that I take cause me to gain weight not lose, and Two to generally feel better for myself. I have a long journey ahead of me hope that I can survive!

It is a long journey. It will likely last a lifetime. However, the journey is worth it. Take your time, don't be too anxious to see results, as that generally causes people to give up early. It's super easy to put weight on (just ask me, I've done it) but much harder to take it off. You got this!0

I quit using this site about a year ago and gained all my pounds back. I realize I need MFP or I fail. Looking for some new best friends to help me get back to where I was at before I started drinking Pepsi and eating Doritos again. I promise I will be very active. Anyone feel free to add me.0

One thing I'm not liking, today for instance I did everything right today, but I wasn't that hungry so I was under my calorie limit by a lot. But it says it's not going to post my progress for today. But what can I do? I don't want to eat anything, I'm full from my dinner and it's time to try and sleep once my insomnia breaks...0

If you can't eat then go to bed. This one time occurrence will not be a problem. I bet, tomorrow, your hunger will catch up to you. You are in the honeymoon phase, so to speak.

With all due respect, if you are eating an unhealthy low amount of calories, then you might not "be doing everything right,". MFP requires 1200 min for women to nourish your body. That's why it won't post. Unhealthy eating habits in general and lack of nutrition specifically can contribute to insomnia. It can also lead bingeing and other health probs. one day is not a big health prob, but it could still contribute to poor sleep that night, low energy, and bingeing the next day or two.0

I thank you for your response. I am eating very healthy, and insomnia has to do with I have been diagnosed with insomnia from my doctors. It is something that has nothing to do with my eating habits. I have an appointment coming up to see a neurologist sleep specialist because of my insomnia. The weight gain comes from the medication I take. The insomnia has been apart of my life as long as I have been on this planet.0

Hello Christi...welcome back to MFP. I can attest that this journey can certainly be a challenge. I have been off and on again with MFP for the past 2 years. Definitely take things slowly as you transition back into leading a healthier life. I wish you all the best with your insomnia and with your journey. feel free to add me to your MFP support team : ).0
