That's like the UK version of Weight Watchers, right? You can probably find people in the Team UK group: http://community.myfitnesspal.com/en/group/150-team-uk

    And British People: http://community.myfitnesspal.com/en/group/84-british-people

Wow, I never realised this. I'm in the UK and we have Weight Watchers here, I know people that have been on it, but I've never heard of Slimming World outside of MFP. I always assumed it was American and didn't exist here.

But yeah, there are a few groups dedicated to it: http://community.myfitnesspal.com/en/search?group_group=1&Search=slimming+world

And more than a few threads dedicated to it if you wanted to read some other people's experiences: http://community.myfitnesspal.com/en/search?adv=&search=slimming+world&title=&author=&cat=all&tags=&discussion_d=1&comment_c=1&group_group=1&within=1+day&date=

Sorry, I meant "a UK thing that's like Weight Watchers."

I've always assumed Slimming World to be the inspiration for the Fat Fighters sketches on "Little Britain."

Im starting it this week-I have done it before and had really good results. After a period of sickness and laziness I now have it all to lose again.

    Feel free to add me.

I'm using the MFP app as a way of logging my food as it's handy for my phone but I'm not counting calories.

Things I have found useful are LOTS of water, 1/3 super free with meals and always have a snack handy at work to avoid temptation.

I started slimming world in March and have lost 2 stone since. Have been using MFP for a few week and decided to stop going to slimming world last week and continue to use MFP. I will still incorporate the slimming world plan but will also count calories. X

i lost 2 stone on sw, was great and taught me how to cook from scratch.. however i started to stall and asoon realised that i was eating too much free food - hence why im on here, i still make all the sw meals but i now log calories, and this weeke i finally achieved my 3 stone award ( 5 stone) if you count before slimming world.

I know people using the Slimming World approach - personally, it seems a little on the confusing side. I hear you can only eat certain foods on a certain day and not mixed with other types?! I may be wrong. I like eating at a deficit but being able to have whatever I fancy. Saying that, there do seem to be a lot of success stories with SW :) Well done to you all on your brilliant losses.

it used to be red and green days which split food types now theirs just extra easy - the rule is a thrid of your plates LAWAYS has to be fruit or salad or veg - speed food - its there way of portion control

Hi - I am a SW member - I lost 8.5 stone following the plan and am now trying to lose weight after having my baby. I am not currently following the plan as I wanted to lower my carbs as I have succeeded faster doing this previously. The whole point of SW though is there should be no need to count calories etc - the plan does work without the need to do this! :) tbh am looking forward to shifting what I need too and then getting back on plan as it is a lot less hassle :) good luck!
