Did I REALLY just see a banner ad on MFP for PIZZA HUT??? That is just MEAN!!!

    Don't know how true this is (I've never had anything but healthy ads) but I've heard it's based off your searchings/cookies.

    my current ad is for Travel LOL

    Think of it as a character building ad....you can see it and eventually not want it lol

    And advertising cake sometimes as "treats in southampton".

    Yup, I noticed this too.

    I get ads for cupcakes, Domino's pizza and weight loss surgery.

    NOT what I want to see at all, thank you very much :angry:

    To me, the most amusing (and weird) ad is the one for the bargain stomach banding. Only $400!

    Mine gives me LOTS of Cupcakes :)

    BUT I completely accept that in order to have this AWESOME site free, we put up with adds the google "targets" :) So mike can keep working on developing his awesome app for us to use I can look the other way from Pizza, cupcakes or anything else advertising throws at me :)

    I was shocked to see a Papa Johns add. Really? Guess they do not care who advertises just so they receive the payment. Of course, since the site is free, I will just ignore the ads. :)

    Yep -- MFP does not control the content that appears. It's syndicated based on cookies on your computer and content you access.

    But... best of all... IT KEEPS IT FREE! Whoo hoo!

    hhmmmm...i've never seen ads for fastfood or anything but travel, jilian micheals, 'the 5 foods you shouldn't eat', and the like...i'll have to pay closer attention (or not!!)

    I'm not mad at MFP. I'm thankful this site is free in the first place.

    I hate Google though! Storing all my searches so they can entice me LOL
    I think it's quite mean and judgemental actually..sure I search for low fat recipes and things like that but I can honestly say I don't search for weight loss surgery. What..so I'm a fatty and I should seek out surgery? Eff you!!

    If it really is based on what I've been searching for then damn..I am off to type in "hot blokes in their undercrackers' and see what kind of nice ads I get in future!! :laugh:

    all I ever get are Jillian Michaels ads, education ads (I already have a Master's degree, not sure why I need more education at this point), and ads for shoe websites...hmmm...:frown:

    Nothing wrong with pizza hut, pa pa johns, or fast food... its all about moderation. a slice or two of pizza is not a big deal. a cookie or some cake now and them is fine. avoiding all of the things you like will make this harder.
