I wanted micros before MFP added them, so I bought my software and am not paying twice.

Tracking micros is a huge benefit for me because I care about that stuff. It's absolutely worth the cost, IMO. It's a bit more of a pain to log because you need to use USDA entries. Once you've used them, repeat entries are no big whup (just like repeat entries for other stuff) but they don't always have exactly what you're eating, so then you have to decide if you want to use something close or just use the label info, which is less complete.

Today, I had a Honeycrisp apple. The USDA doesn't list Honeycrisp, so I had to pick between "Apple, raw, with skin" or a more generic Honeycrisp entry. That sort of thing. It doesn't come up a lot, but it comes up on occasion.

Still, it's been a big benefit to me, tracking the micros. I can put in the effort to increase my potassium, iron and a few others I didn't get much of. If MFP had offered it when I wanted it, I'd have bought it here.

    I vote Yea. :)

I have premium. It's not really worth it imo.

I read over all the details of what's available for Premium, and it's not worth the $10, IMO. Not for what I use MFP for, and I've been using it for years.

For 49.95/year, not bad. I like tweaking macros by the gram.

IMHO only way it would be worth it is if they do the following:

    1. Guarantee only USDA entries for food and those that we enter viewable in the premium database
    2. Give us the ability to "ignore" users in the forums again
    3. Send a free UA hoodie, hat and Tshirt.

    4. Premium access to all UA apps (mapmy....)

I think Premium is totally worth it - even with no additional features I will still pay for it just to support the company that provides me with a tool to get healthy. $59 per year is nothing compared to how healthy I am now and how good I look.

Features as macros management and custom exercise calories allocation are absolutely worth the cost.

    Absolutely worth it.

This is the other issue. When they rolled out the premium membership (USA only at first) different people got offered it for different prices.

Absolutely not worth it. Minimal perks for a price that's too high. And I say that as someone who usually tries to buy premium or paid subscriber status with sites I use a lot, just because I want to support them. But really, if a site wants that kind of support they need to provide value for the subscription. MFP Premium doesn't.

This response just helped make up my mind about Premium - thanks!
