Starting Over For The "Umteenth" Time

Back on the journey again. I feel really good this time around though because I'm doing it without medication. I've lost weight before but with appetite suppressants and it came right back. Well here is to the all natural way of reduced calories and exercising. I'm 26 , banking exec, married with a 5 year old Yorkie. My goal is Christmas , lose 20-30 pounds. I've lost 6 pounds so far with no robust exercising other than walking my dog and keeping busy. That 6 pounds is not factored into this goal. I don't trust my scale as much because being a former athlete I have dense muscle mass, broader shoulders and a well heavier build and weigh more than I look. I find it difficult at times to burn fat and end up building muscle which gives to a stockier look( which I hate) so I'm reducing the weight training and doing more aerobics to help burn fat while still toning. Here's to putting in the hard work.

Good luck! I have a similar goal. I want to be sub 250 by Christmas and I'm sitting at 275. It's tough but doable! I'll be cheering you on!!!0

I hate to disappoint you but 50 pounds in 13 weeks is not going to happen. Hopefully you were joking.
Put in a reasonable goal of weight loss per week. You are going to keep coming back here time and time again thinking fast weight loss with deadlines is the way to go.

@queenliz99 I can totally understand why you would say it's unreasonable. That goal isn't necessarily a goal that is in concrete. It's what I would call a stretch goal. In business you put those goals as a push or motivation if you will, to give it 150%rather than just going through the motions ( which is how I can become) Now I know I will not come close to that number in that small amount of time but I am pushing to get close to it, whether close is 5-15 pounds away from it . The fact is that I'm doing it and eventually I will pass that 50 pound mark regardless how long it takes.0

But when you post things like this people will glom on to this idea thinking this is an achievable goal which it is not. You already have one poster that is in with you and they may or may not attain their goal and may give up on their goal because they could not stay motivated. They are discouraged and give up. I am just pointing about being more realistic.
