Interval training burns fat fast. I do 30 mins on a stationary bike doing interval training and burn 320 calories and then do 30 minutes on treadmill doing interval training and burn another 180 calls.

Some of these posts are spot on. Others are...not.

There's no way that walking for 1.5 hours burns 500 calories. With an HRM yesterday, I logged a 550 burn for 32 minutes of jogging at a 9:17 pace and 14 minutes of walking at 3 miles/hour.

Gardening will not burn 500 calories in 1.33 hours unless said gardening includes lots of wheelbarrow trips, brush clearing, and/or heavy shoveling. Weeding your flowers just doesn't burn that much.

I am 158 lbs and I burned 613 calories for 62 minutes of walking for a distance of 4.5 miles. I was wearing my heart rate monitor. I only jogged lightly for about 0.5 miles toward the end. Totally possible, I'm also 28 years old. Depends on age and body composition as well.

Also how fast you walk, I try to keep a fast and steady pace and usually burn 500 with ease.
