Hello, I'm Logan. I've struggled with my weight for years. 6 years ago I weighted 140 pounds and now I'm at 185. I am getting married in 10 months and know that I will regret not looking my best for my wedding day and I always want to have a healthy body for when I start a family. My fiancé and I are currently doing the low carb diet. My biggest weaknesses are carbs though.... Bread, pizza, pasta (oh my!) I'm just working on bettering myself and also conquering my depression

Nice to meet you, and congrats!! I'm also getting married too- 7 months away☺️ my fiancé and I are taking a different approach however. Have you heard of flexible dieting? Carbs are not the enemy...fads and media are full of sh$t0

Do you have a food scale? Eat the foods you love and stay in a calorie deficit. The weight will come off. Good luck.0

You don't need to do a certain diet. I've done almost every diet out there. I find it best to just eat healthy and exercise. Feel free to add me.0

Carbs = my biggest weakness also. What's a girl to do when she's obsessed with sandwiches and Italian food? I second what everyone has said in terms of calorie deficit. I haven't drastically changed what I've been eating, just been making sure that I've had a deficit. I've lost 7 pounds on my journey so far (my page says 3 since I started MFP after I lost some weight). Feel free to add! I love getting and giving motivation and encouragement.0

Welcome! It's great to see you wanting to get back on track! You certainly can do this!
I'm a HUGE fan of carbs. When I first started this whole process, I attempted a 'very low carb' approach and it made me thoroughly miserable because I was deprived of those foods that I love. I was basically setting myself up for failure. I stopped the 'very low carb' plan and concentrated on eating at a simple calorie deficit instead. I have to say, probably around 60-70% of my daily calories consist of carbs and I LOVE it! I'd also like to point out that I've lost over 30 lbs doing it this way..
I'm not saying low carb doesn't work, I'm just saying that it isn't for everyone and it certainly isn't the only option available. Good luck!0
