Literally Half The Man I Used To Be

I'm afraid I don't have any pictures to show. I've always been a private person. But as of today, I have lost half of my original body weight. My first recorded weight was on June 29th, 2014, and came in at 318 lbs. Today, I weigh 159 lbs.
I didn't do anything fancy. I didn't go on any publicized diets or start exercising all of the time. I just counted my calories and tried to go on walks 3-4 times per week. I probably ate less than most people on here would have recommended, 1400-1600 calories per day even when I weighed 318 lbs. But I am happy with the results, although I am not yet finished. I still eat 1400-1600 calories per day, though 80% of the time it is closer to the 1400 mark. The other day, for example, my breakfast was 250 calories, my lunch was 310 calories and my dinner was 840 calories. I always preferred eating a larger dinner and my caloric intake shows that.
I have some loose skin, but that is to be expected. It's not as bad as it could have been, and I still have a bit of fat that is keeping it in check. I remember the day my father died, July 8th of last year, I took his belt and saw how small it was for me. I couldn't even wrap it around 60% of my waist. I was able to start wearing it earlier this year, and now it's almost too big for me. I'm down to its second-to-last notch.
If you're trying to lose weight, just stick with it. You ultimately know your body far better than anybody else. Trust your instincts and do your best to make the right decisions for you.
