*SMALL* NSV

I was well aware tonight that I was looking for something to eat because I was bored.

I looked in the fridge and cupboards.

I paced.

I said outloud, “I’m not even hungry. I’m just bored.”

And I picked up my paperwork for tomorrow and read that for an hour.

Craving subsided. Craving conquered.

/// This is how I lost 60 pounds a couple summers ago. By being aware and making conscious choices. Riding the ride out a couple more seconds. Playing the tape through. Not acting instantly. Hunger is okay, not an emergency.
--Not that I eat for hunger most of the time, anyway.

Regardless, this let's me know very deeply that I am on the right path. I have begun, yet again. Behavior changes have once again become internalized. I'm happy with this victory. However small, it leads to much bigger things (and smaller skirts!).

Awesome! I am beginning to notice my willpower getting stronger when it comes to temptation. It's a great feeling.
