I am a 48 years old female (who at 5'4" was gradually creeping toward 250 when I reached 239 I joined weight watchers. It's great and I continue with it. I have been losing 1/4 pound per day since June 15th. my total weight loss is currently 27 pounds ...still going. One of the things that got me motivated is that I was getting symptoms that were likely rheumatoid arthritis. Since I have lost the 27 pounds the swollen knuckles have lessened significantly. One of the things I keep hearing and reading is how "inflammation" is a leading cause of most discomforts I am glad to read all of your entries and community success stories :). I haven't started exercising yet. I have been spending time doing home improvements like wall papering and painting and remodeling bathrooms etc. so I keep moving. After I am done doing my projects I will exercise more So, I have been eating an average of 1,362.33 calories a day. I track both calories and points in an effort to enjoy the effort. For the most part it seems that 40 calories equals a weight watcher point. Another thing that motivates me, is how height and weight charts define what is a heathy, overweight and obese weight. Well, I will end on a funny but true note : I can't wait until I'm overweight! This should happen around March of 2016. It will be great not to be obese (on paper) most people would call me overweight now (I guess I carry my weight well and wear black work slacks) to hide it. This has always kept me complacent about my weight. Now, I'm ready to get beyond that and am willing to have to get a new wardrobe (gradually). This really is about me being more free from any future possible medications. I think if I begin these habits now (at 48 years old) it will save problems for myself , my husband and kids. I am glad to use the app! It is wonderful! I have used it for 45 days and have lost 9 pounds since then.

Wow. It sounds like you are focused and doing great. I'm down 30 with 30 more to go. I hit a plateau and I'm trying to break through it. Friend me if you are interested in providing mutual support.
