Hey everyone. For all you runners out there, how about a little online competition on MFP!?

For anyone who has done a 5K please post YOUR PR here in this topic!!

C'mon BRAG A LITTLE. You've completed a 5k (even if it wasn't a race, even if it was just done on a treadmill during a workout) post your PERSONAL BEST for a 5k.

Give yourself a little healthy competition between other MFP'ers. Your PR could inspire someone else to push harder to achieve that time or that goal. Maybe you will be inspired by another runners PR.

POST HERE :))

Also, if you'd like to include how many 5ks you've done along with your PR. That way people who are seasoned runners can see what kind of times other seasoned runners have, people who are just starting out a 5k can come here and see someone who has maybe run one or 2 and see their time and have something to aim for, strive for etc.

Well I've only ran 5 k twice, each time my time was 35 minutes. I have no idea if that's good/bad/average!

My 5K's... so far. I'm slow, but getting faster.

    #1 (05/14/11): 39 min 39 sec
    #2 (05/28/11): 38 min 03 sec
    #3 (06/04/11): 80 min * This was a mountainside mud/obstacle course (www.thedirtydash.com)

#4 in July and hoping #5 will be a 10K mountainside mud/obstacle run in September.

My PR is actually not during a race. My first (and only) 5k race was just after I completed c25k and my time was 27:32. I have, however, beaten that time by myself, just out running. My new record is 26:55. I have been running longer distances in preparation for my half-marathon this August, but I am trying to run a race every month, for charity, and am doing a 5k in July, so I'll let you know then!

I started running Jan 29th at 300lbs. I successfully ran an entire half-marathon in May but I still can't break 30 minutes in 5k. I am working on that now and hope that if I lose another 50lbs it will just happen easily! My best time ever, was last night and I ran the 5k in 32:16.

Did a 5k three years ago and I am not a runner! 35 minutes =)

I'd try it again once my knee is better..but I really hate running!

Have regularly done my 5K in gym. Just ran a 6K run this Sunday under 30 mins (translates to some 25 mins for 5K). As a prep for that, I had run 7K in 50 mins on Saturday.

Today, ran outdoor - 3.5K in 20 mins.

Preparing to run 10K now. Hoping to do it under 1 hr. As soon as I do, you all will know.
