of course it can. food is the number one source of emotional problems and illness - if we adjusted our diets to address emotional.physical problems and illness - there would be a sudden drop in the PHARMACUTICAL INDUSTRIES/MEDICAL INDUSTRIES/JUNK FOOD INDUSTRIES PROFIT MARGIN.

    read read read.

read read read yourself. I said food does not cause ME emotional issues (which is what the OP asked). I'm quite sure no one (other than myself) has ever done a study on food's effect on my personal emotions, so I'm not sure what reading is going to change my findings.

Eating too much sugar makes me sleepy (T2D).
This is also the start of the season SAD. Are you getting less sunlight than when you were on vacation?

I second this! Sunshine is one of my mood boosters. *Glares at overcast sky, 3 days and counting*

If beans can make a person shoot gas out of their butt then why can't sugar make them cry...lol

Serotonin is created in the gut so it is plausible that eating sugary foods changed the gut flora lowering your body's production of serotonin. I guess your gut community can change within 3 days of diet change. Good luck getting back on the horse!

The suns actually been shining in the UK so I don't think its SAD.

No I'm not pms'ing lol I knew someone would say that.

The thing is I really enjoy eating healthy foods and tailoring what I put into my body, on my holiday I allowed myself to eat sugary foods/high fat meals without guilt, I knew the moment I get back I'm going to be eating healthier again, I don't feel bad about binging out at all. That's why the fact that I feel really moody and crap when I eat junk interests me, I wonder why that happens? because when I do eat well Im very cheerful. Maybe its just a brain thing idk

Yes while I was eating carbs (bread & sugar) I had depression, anxiety, sweats, mood swings and exhaustion. Since doing keto all that has gone and I have bags of energy

eating chocolate while watching Marley and me (that I couldn't finish watching it btw) made me cry - I guess it was the sugar.
