Hi people_ I'm 23yr and I've been saying I'm going to get on track with my exercise all year , and even though I make it to the gym I'm never fully committed. Its like a yoyo diet with me. After two weeks of intense workouts I feel tired n I don't have the pep to go anymore and its still to early for results. So how can I stay motivated enough to get passed tis next month?

Remember why you want to lose weight? Get a goal dress? Find a goal you are excited about like being able to run! Then do a 5k. Just make yourself keep at it, eat to support your exercise and you will have the energy!

I always just look at pictures of myself at the weight I hate... and I also have a bikini hanging in my room and i put it on if I feel like giving up and remember how close i am to the size I want to be!0

Consider toning down your efforts in those first two weeks so you don't burn yourself out. If you KNOW that you are going to stay committed, there is lots of time to get fit. Ditto for calories. If you aim too low, you increase your odds of failure.0

Are you overdoing it at the gym? If you're allowing yourself to get tired, you're not doing it right. A proper exercise regimen requires periods of rest. Your body needs rest in order to assimilate the effects of the exercise. Perhaps you simply need to back off a bit.
You don't need to kill yourself at the gym to see results, you really don't. You also don't need, nor should you (see my comments on rest above), exercise the same area more often than every other day. If you really want to exercise more often, then have at it, but work a different area each day so each area gets a day of rest between sessions.
I run and lift weights on alternating days. My legs recover from running on the days I lift and my muscles recover from lifting on the days I run. I've been doing this for about 18 months now and I'm never too exhausted for the next day's workout. It really does work well.1 -
Hey that kinda helps , I do always try to start my weight loss by getting to the gym everyday . Most of the time I jog/walk on the treadmill for about 20-25mins and use the epillitic machine for another 30mins.0

Also to Cassiegal , I have tons of "getting back into that" clothes but their all pushes towards the back of my closet , and it just makes me more sad when I look at them ! But I'll try it I'll pull our one in my favorite backless shirts and hang it up on the door ...

As do I but weekly getting back into them! I have been on a pill called phentermine from my doctor since April and have lost 100 pounds as of last Saturday. I have days like this, lean on me I'll lean back girl. Friend request sent.0 -
Maybe do exercise that you enjoy instead of the gym! That would probably help extend the motivation past a couple weeks. Hiking, Walking, Bicycling, Swimming, etc.0

I would guess that you are getting burned out by going too hard at the gym. Try taking it down a notch. Slow is smooth and smooth is fast.0
