Water walking....does anyone know the calories burned in an hour of water walking?

Due to recent back surgery and a knee that needs replacing, I am only able to walk in a pool for exercise. Does anyone know how many calories are burned walking in water as opposed to walking on land?

I do aqua fit, it is in MFP under water aerobics. I would log under that as you are getting a similar work out.
If you haven't thought of it, and it is within your scope of permitted exercise, get a couple of those foam hand weights and push them up and down in the water as you go. Mini bicep curls and tricep kickbacks.

I would say put in as regular walking and it should be close. If you worried about overestimating just cut it back to a lower pace than what you actually did.0

good article. I was actually wrong. My reasoning was even though you encounter more resistance, being "weightless" would burn less.
According to the article you burn more so I would enter a higher pace if you entered it as walking.

I don't think jesus has to worry too much about the amount of calories he burns. That dude is skinny enough as it is.0
