One moment, one choice at a time

Just a thought I wanted to share, and hopefully I will help motivate some. I have realized over the last month that this journey is SO do-able if we just take it a day, or moment, or pound at a time. I was getting so caught up in everyone else's success that I was comparing (so human) and wondering why I wasn't losing 10 pounds in a month "like everyone else". At times I was bummed that the scale (scales are crap) wasn't moving as much as I thought it should and having to rely on my clothes being looser (and they are). I feel better, I know I am doing things I should to be healthy, but in the back of my mind I was depressed about my forward motion. And I woke up and I could not believe that once again it is never enough for me (that is how I got here)! I HAVE FORWARD MOTION and I was bummed. Deep down we want others to encourage us and to notice (also human), I just need to get over this stumbling block once and for all. If you are making healthy choices and moving more and eating less and drinking water NOTHING else should matter. Do that every single day and it will pay off. From now on I will tell myself every morning that I have got this day, food is not the enemy, but my mindset can be. No more wanting the grass on the other side. My journey is all mine and it will look different then everyone else's, and that is truly a wonderful thing. I am transforming every moment of every day and I am growing as a person. I am free. We all are if we want it bad enough. So to all of you awesome brave souls on MFP, Move more, compare less, and your journey will transform you every day that you stay true! Love you guys!

Very nicely written - thank you for being grateful for what you have, not unhappy for what you don't have. :flowerforyou:0 -
All so well said. So good to have people here who understand what we're all going thru. Feel free to add me if you're in need of additional friends? I believe we're around the same height with the same goal weight0

GREAT JOB! You are so right, everyone's bodies are different and it's hard not to compare. I find myself doing the same thing, and wondering, why can't I get to 125 pounds in 2 months? But we are all on our own journey and need to focus on what's best for us

Focus is a great word. I think everyone on here is a star and can do it! Thanks!0
