For many months I've been eating and not exercising. I've been working and schooling. Now that it's summer I stepped on the scale and I gained so much weight! I amd 155 lbs at the moment, I really want to be 120 lbs... But this seems like an impossible task. Please help me, what should I do? I am so sad...

First it is not impossible. You can do it if you put your mind to it!!! Just take it one day at a time. Follow your goals for your food and add in some exercise and before you know it the pounds will be leaving and you will get to your goal!!!!

Take it one step at a time and find an exercise routine that works for you. Logging EVERYTHING you eat will really help. If you have extra money, hire a personal trainer at the gym. Take a peek through the boards and the success stories to see what other people have done and to get motivation.

You need to make sure you are ready for this. This site is so great for inspiration and support from everyone! I have only been here for two weeks and I love coming on here to get inspiration. Whenever I feel like cheating I look at the success stories and it boosts me to keep going and get back to where I used to be. I was never tiny but I was happy with myself when I weighed 160 lbs (5'5"). I was still happy at 170 but then I got in a relationship and now have gained 30 pounds to put me at 200!!! Now I am eating as healthly as I ever have and starting to get back into my work outs. I have already lost 7 pounds starting the end on May and I am on my way down to 150 my GW!

    :)

Everyone is here to support you! And here to help! It is possible :P

I used to be 115 once, when I was in the 20s, I am not going back to 115, but trying to lose to the same weight area you are hoping for! We can do this, if you keep your calories, i bet you'll lose 5lb easy. The other thing is, when I did detox (master cleanse-lemonade diet) for about 14 days, I did go back down to 116, which I lost 13 lb. in 14 days. Anyway something to look into. Try MFP for a while and see what happens. This is my second time. It is the weight management that we all need to learn. You can lose weight but we need to learn to keep it down.

Well joining this site was a great first step! You will get there.Read the forums (check the facts first though) you can get a wealth of information that has been tried and tested by many. Track every ounce of food you put in your body. Focus on eating wholesome food. Lean proteins and fibrous carbs ( most veggies and whole grains like Quinoa pronounced *keen-wha*). Aim for about 45 min of cardio exercises a day and add some strength training as you are able (can't stress building some muscle enough) Drink your water! I know it's seems really overwhelming, but you have to start somewhere! With some focus you will get to your goal! Good Luck!
