Kind of bummed

I just started this lifestyle change along with my husband. It's been going really good and my energy has been significantly getting better, which was a huge reason to change my diet because I work with special needs kindergarteners who keep me on the very tips of my toes. However, the past two days, I've just felt really down. I'm not as tired anymore and not hungry. I'm not even craving the food I used to eat. I just feel like I eat just to survive. Nothing tastes good and I find eating a complete waste of time. I would rather just go lay in bed all day and not work or eat or do anything because I just feel bummed. Is this going to pass th longer I stick with healthy eating?

Yes it passes. In the meantime, find some things that interest you and get some restful sleep. <3

It does pass, just have to find something to occupy yourself during times like that.

It will pass. Try to get moving and distract yourself. You've got this!

Look up new recipes. Healthier eating doesn't have to be bland.

The internet has so many recipes that you could try. I'm like you. I hate the food I eat for health. At least I found sime good recipes online. Try sparkspeople

This makes me a little sad. What are you considering healthy eating? I love my healthier, home cooked meals, a treat once in a while is divine, and very necessary for pleasure and sanity.

Sounds like you are depriving yourself and you are grieving that loss. Can you fit in a small treat at the end of each of your days to give yourself something to look forward to?

YES it will pass! When I reached this point, I started looking up recipes that used ingredients I really liked. Try skinnytaste.com as her food is super tasty, yet lower in calories. She lightens up a lot of favorites. It adds some fun to what can otherwise seem an endless ordeal at times! Hang in there! :+1:

Yeah, like everyone else has said, find recipes and experiment with new spices, flavour combinations, and maybe leave your eating/flavour comfort zone some more. And I defs agree that finding something else other than eating that you enjoy in your free time might help. Hobbies are a wonderful use of down time that are relaxing, keep hands busy, and enable you to explore something you wouldn't otherwise do. Even treating yourself to some new herbal teas and getting lost in a great book can help fill the void that is the satisfaction that once came from mindless snacking.
