Greetings beautiful people...inside as well as outward. We all have a journey in life to discover. I see it as an onion, layer after layer, mile after mile, year after year we find out who we are and what we're made of. Sometimes, life and weight makes that discovery a bit harder. But, with the help and encouragement from 'others' who may be a bit further along on this journey or who have walked this journey before and wish to extend a hand toward another, we all can succeed in some way. Happiness is a state of mind that may go hand in hand with the physical. I am here like you all are here, hoping to improve in health, mind, body, soul & spirit.

I wish everyone here success however you 'define' it. I am 54 years old. Married, have 3 grown sons and am heavier than my body needs. Yesterday I weighed in at 163.6lbs I am 5'3" tall and pretty active on the days I work in the fast food industry. I wish to regain my healthier weight of 140lbs by the New Year. I am also a newer vegan and love the lifestyle. This past summer *June* I weighed in at 175lbs so I am on my way to that goal.

Back in May of this year I started to have nose bleeds 5 in 2 weeks....I went to our local clinic and had by blood pressure checked. It was high, really high...They immediately put me on meds (I am not fond of taking medication but it was neccessary.) I decided at that point, enough is enough....Time to shed this excess baggage in my life, and it wasn't just weight, it was my way of thinking too. Thus, I deleted as much negativity from my life as possible by way of filling my life with positive thoughts, images, and music.

What a change so far!! I am feeling better, happier and more motivated to living my life in peace and harmony in the years to come. I am a minimalist by nature, and continue with that lifestyle in much of my day to day activities.

I hope no I plan, to hear/read many success stories here and will include mine as well. Today is the start to the rest of your life....make it count! Love & Light to "us" all.

I'm so glad to hear you're happier and in a better place mentally - I think a lot of people can forget to look after the mind aswell as the body and both are so very crucial. Your post is inspiring and I want to congratulate you on your weight loss success so far and for your fantastic motivation. With that positive attitude in place, I have no doubt you'll go far here. Don't be afraid to reach out on the message boards if you ever need that little 'boost', the advice here really is fantastic. I'll be looking out for your success story in the future but it sounds like you are in a better place already - well done you and the very best of luck :]

Thanks zkhanman....although I don't log my physical activities when I'm at work (fast food server) I'm sure I burn off a good number of calories each shift. I set realistic goals and keep them in mind.
