Green coffee, weight loss??

So I have been taking these green coffee fat burn pills and they make me poop like 6 times a day. On Saturday of last week I weighed 288. Today I weigh 277. That's 11 pounds in a week. Am I only losing weight because of the laxative effect? Will I gain weight if I stop taking them? Help! P.s. my diary is public so you can see what I've been eating other wise.

It's the laxative. Stop taking them anyway and save your money. Eat at a caloric deficit and you'll lose weight.0

Will I gain weight if I stop? Should I just taper them down so I don't gain weight?0

And everyone says eat a caloric deficit. I'm still confused on what that is!0

It's water weight, which you lose initially when starting a weight loss program. If you're eating in a deficit, you will continue to lose. You don't need to taper off.0 -
Well your weight directly depends on the energy you provide your body with and the amount of energy you burn each day. One of the units measuring this energy is calorie [or kilocalorie kcal (1000 X calorie) - but we just say calories as it's easier].
Firstly you need to calculate how much energy a day you burn - it will be estimate but it's a decent estimate if you are serious with what activity levels. There are two measures - basal metabolic rate (BMR) - basal means literally just laying and breathing. There second is maintenance - that's what you need for a day without changing your weight - that's what you really want to know.
Now it's easy - if you want to lose weight- you eat below maintenance- to gain - above.
MFP will tell you how much kcal you need to eat a day to reach weekly goals - however it will not let you eat below 1200 kcal because it's ooooopooooolooounhealthy

Yes, it is the laxative effect and you will probably regain most of it if you stop, and the losses will level off soon too, even if you continue. The other issue many people have but doesn't get mentioned is that your bowels may become physically dependent on the laxatives and you will reach a point where you won't poop unless you take the pills. Best to stop ASAP and let your digestive system get back to normal. You may have a couple of days of no pooping, constipation, and bloating while you recover, but making sure you drink plenty of fluids and eat enough fiber and fat will go a long way to helping the recovery and keeping the bowels moving properly.

Why don't you just try using MFP as it is designed for a few months?
Enter your goal [i.e. - lose 1 pound a week]. Eat the number of calories it tells you to [it already has the deficit you asked for]. Accurately log your food - consistently, weigh your solids and measure your liquids, choose correct entries. Enter your exercise and eat back 50-75% of your exercise calories [to account for inflated burns].0 -

Eat at or slightly below the number MFP designed for you based on the information you put into the software when you created your account.

Are these just plain green coffee pills, or are there also other ingredients that would make you poop, such as senna etc?0

If these are having a laxative effect, I would stop taking them - they aren't good for you.
Stick with the calorie deficit and you'll lose weight at a safe and realistic rate0
