And ATE (and drank) my way through vacation......time to find my discipline again and restart my diet again....due to an injury I can't really exercise so this has to be done with diet. Is 20 pounds by Christmas reasonable?

It is doable for some. What are your stats?

Does your injury prevent you from doing *any* exercise at home? For example, using anything around the house for weight resistance? A bottle filled with coins, a milk jug filled with sand. Can you get into a pool and "jog" in place? How about riding bike? I'm trying to come up with ideas that may be low (or no) impact since I don't know your medical condition. Do you have a stability ball? A 20 pound loss by Christmas may be possible for some, as stated above, but I personally don't think that is an attainable goal -- it would not be for me. I typically lose 0.5-1.0 pounds a week and that is meeting 10,000 steps a day and logging food on MFP.0
