bloated

Hoping to get some insight - I used to always have quiet a flat stomach then I moved to hong Kong and have bloated for the past 6 months. My clothes still fit me but I will wake up and my stomach is so bloated. I thought it was the fact that I'm not drinking enough water so increased my intake. Stopped eating dairy recently and my diet is ok. I don't eat fast food and stay away from sugar drinks and sweets. Is it possibly due to salty food here or that I drink a lot of wine? Hope someone can help as its really getting me down

I personally bloat quickly when I have too much sodium - Having dinner out usually means my ring won't slide easily off my finger the next morning. I know others who have zero issue with sodium. Perhaps but back on the sodium for a week or two and see how you do.0

Sodium, alcohol and allergy/intolerance are my top three.
If your water consumption is up and that's not working, start considering the changes you've made to your diet since moving there and try eliminating those things to see if it helps.0 -

Thanks for your comments, salty foods are everywhere here so I'll cut it out and see what the difference is.0

I did read about fibroids so maybe checking that out might be worth it, I recently had a full check up and all was ok but if this continues I'll have to go back. Thanks @catscats2220

Yep, my thoughts exactly.0 -
I notice that when I eat too many carbs it goes right to my belly... Are you perhaps eating more carbs? Like rice? I bloat also when I have too much sodium but I think it shows up more in my face, jaw line, and ankles. I love Chinese food but the high sodium and all the rice packs on the bloat. I like my wine too and I suspect that it may be contributing to my problem as well.0

I'd say it could quite possibly be down to eating different types of food (if you are, that is).
It might be worth seeing a nutritionist about this if you're concerned, you may have an intolerance of something that you're not aware of
