Lost 50 Pounds, Fighting a Plateau

So since January 15, 2015, I've lost 50-55 pounds, on my way to a goal to lose 70 pounds. I'm celebrating even this amount of progress. I have not weighed what I currently weight in about 20 years and I'm loving how I look and feel. But for some reason this point, just about 15 or so pounds above my ultimate goal, has turned into a roadblock. I just can't seem to break past it and lose the remaining weight. It's not about setting the wrong calorie targets, but a kind of threshold of snacking/eating a certain amount. I'm having trouble actually reducing further what I eat to keep up a reasonable amount of weight loss. It's almost like my body wants to stay at my current weight and is fighting my attempts to push past it. I'm not discouraged, but thought I'd share this conundrum and see what ideas might come forth.

Either you have to lower your calories, exercise more or a combination of both along with weighing all of your foods.

I would change up the exercise and make sure you are religiously recording your food. I tend to get s bit slack with the recording and as soon as I pick it up again I start losing again.

Some people found that calories cycling helped them through a plateau. I can't tell you if it actually helps, but you might want to try it.
If, for example, you have a daily calories of 1200, you can eat 800 one day and 1600 the next, 1000 another and 1400 the next... so that the average of daily calories will still be 1200 in a week.

Also, what tk_fairy wrote: since you are so close to your goal (and you seem to be very happy and proud of how well you have done) it could be that you are more "relaxed" in counting calories and maybe, without realizing it, you are actually not counting everything.

I don't know If you have been using a trending weight application.

Slower weight loss looks a lot like spinning your wheels when closer to goal and eating at a smaller deficit.

Sept 12, 24, 29 I weighed the same scale weight.
Sept 30 a bit more than on Sept 12.
    Yet I am losing 0.5lb a week.

Use Libra for android, happy scale iPhone.
