Could someone share with me how I can add pictures to a post I write? I've only been able to post a link to a photo off site thus far. I already know how to upload photos in my profile images section.

Thank you in advance for any help.

    From Mobile**-

~With some android phones you will not see the camera icon from within the app, but if you access the forums from the browser on your phone it shows up (This is the case for my LG G3. I access the forums from the Chrome browser on my phone (when I'm not at my PC that is), because the forums don't show up correctly through the app).

    Has to be BBCode
And the image URL should end in an image format (.jpeg or .gif or .png)

If you hit the quote button under my post above, you can see the coding for the images. Optionally, if you use the icons the pictures above show it will allow you to upload straight from the device you are using and input the picture link into your reply box with the correct code.

Hey shadow2soul, does it work in our news feed and blog areas too?

Blog area uses HTML (I don't know why they use a different code there, but they do)

Pictures can't be added to the newsfeed (yet....I believe people were asking about it under the Suggestions/feedback area of the forums)

The News Feed appears to be on the same server system as the public Food Database and your Profile, Food Diary, Exercise Diary, and (I think) Mail and My Blog. The News Feed uses plain old text; no HTML, BBCode, or photos allowed on the News Feed. Your Profile photos are compressed and limited to 18 in total. I suppose that is to minimize the storage space required and the potential interference and lagging issues those features would cause with the other parts of the main server system. The My Blog still requires you to provide a link to graphic files hosted on other photo-sharing sites.
In October 2014, MFP moved Community to other servers hosted by Vanilla Forums, which added the option to upload graphic files (on the Web version and iOS currently) and attach them to your Discussion posts.
