Does mfp deduct the fiber from the carbs. I am counting carbs on lchf diet. Need to limit carbs to 20 grams a day and can be tricky.

No. You would have to calculate that yourself, or just go for a total of about 25-30g carbs if you want a close estimate.
If you are going for ketosis, many find that they don't need to be below 20g per day. If it is not a strict diet plan, you may be able to be a bit more flexible.
And...I would ignore the previous post. For most people, cholesterol is negatively affected by eating saturated fats. LCHF appears to be perfectly safe to do long term; I have read a few studies up to 2 years and more people who have been experimenting on themselves for many more years than that. Also, many find high fat is more filling than high carb.

Thanks. I find eating this way has cut my cravings for sugar and bad carbs. Sugar was my evil and have tried so many things to quit. So far lchf is doing the trick. Thanks0

Wow when I read that article it made me feel that they must have it completely backwards...
It describes how I feel and behave on a higher carb diet. Been trying LCHF since May and have never felt better. Blood sugar fell from elevated levels to excellent levels, blood pressure dropped and so did my pulse.
I'm never hungry, my stomach works like a charm as opposed to before where it was really bad. I'm full of energy and nowadays I get restless if I don't workout at least every day.
And No cravings for sweets. Used to love chocolate but these days it just doesn't do it for me anymore.
Funny we all work so different. Just glad I found something that works for me.
Past tries to loose weight.
Weight Watchers 6 months = -1 lbs and constant hunger and obsessing about food.
Smart food 6 months (mostly raw food and 95% vegetarian) = +10 lbs and stomach blown to hell. Constant hunger and obsessing about food.
LCHF 6 months = -37 lbs and feeling better than ever in the last 25 years. Some days I even struggle to reach MFP's daily recommended calorie intake. But I don't care much about the calories really, I mainly use the app to make sure I get the nutrients needed.
The main reason for trying LCHF was to stop the blood sugar levels rising to high. Both my dad and granddad had diabetes and I really want to avoid that.

make sure you focus on the good fats from avocados, and fish
i also focus on getting high input of complex carbs which are ok
staying away from too many added sugars

i could not live without my quinoa and beans - high carb and filling as heck- low fat
