Hello!

I'm going to a trampoline park today! Oh yes, it is just as it sounds - super fun.

I searched trampoline in the database... but... well it's not there! How would you recommend I log it for exercise?

Oh I've gone before! It's great! Feels like a good workout but you don't notice.

I went for 1.5 hours the first time, it was too much...
60 minutes was just right :)

I would for sure recommend going, you'll like it!

My recommendations: Wear long pants otherwise you'll get some burns from the fabric of the trampolines (even through yoga pants, you may get them but they're not as bad)... and wear a supportive bra haha. Bring lots of water too, I sweat a lot while I'm there. Also, most importantly, stay focused on how you're landing! It's easy to roll an ankle or jam your back. Try to keep your spine nice and neutral.

Sounds fun. My son has gone. I don't think I could keep up. It is a workout. He comes out sweaty and sleeps well.

I want to go! Too bad I don't have kids.

These are the times when I wish my sisters had kids...just so I can go to trampoline parks and the Discovery Science Center.

They don't let you go to trampoilne parks as an adult by yourself unless you rent out the facility. At least ones I've looked into.

    Have fun!

Hahah I'm going with a bunch of adults! Most of the people there are usually young adult or older teens though you see everyone from 2 - 50 there easy (I haven't gone too much so maybe people outside that range go too, not sure!).

That dumb that they only let you in if you have kids though! I'm glad my city's will let everyone in.

So.. I found somewhere that trampolining would be about 100 calories for 30 mins. But mfp says walking for 30 mins is also 100 calories. Do you think the trampoline is really that low?

At the trampoline park where we go, they actually list the calories burned, but you have to be in constant motion during that time. There is a workout for one hour that burns 1000 calories.

    It is more than walking

here goes. I found this on line and saw that many had asked the question for to determine how many calories you burn using a rebounder
    so here it is
take your weight x.0643=..... take that number and X number of minutes and that is the calories you have burned.
I found it on a website called everything rebounding. and the website said that it is fairly accurate to the HRM calculations.
So I hope this helps everyone who owns one like I do and am reintroducing myself to it. The site also gives suggestions on what
you can do to as far as weights and exercise moves on it. Go check it out.

I found this in an old post rebounding is what they trampolining.

I tend to go low, I think I stuck with 100 but actually ate back 100% of it. I'm guessing that the 100 ish for 30 mins is closer to actual than MFP's database. I missed cookeylady's post some how!

That is funny that this was my post and you found it lol! More in common than we thought! And we already thought lots hahha.

err... /60 whatever your bodyweight is in kg. then times the result by 3.5MET then times each minute you jump.....
    For example my MET= .91 per minute x 3.5 (just what I get for jumping) x 30 minutes of non-stop jumping= 95.5 kcal total.

When I went to a similar trampoline park I wore my HRM and it said I burned 900 calories in 2 hours. Can't promise how accurate that number is though. I was constantly jumping and moving as I was keeping up with a hyped up 7-year-old.

Oh, wow, a trampoline park sounds like awesome fun!

I had a trampoline as a teenager, and it was the best present I ever got. I loved that thing.
