Protein shake after cardio?

Is it ok to be taking a whey protein shake after just cardio or should I only take it after cardio AND strength training? I don't have time to eat after working out, so the shake seems the best bet.

I wouldn't think there would be any reason not to take it after cardio, it can't hurt and will still help hit your macros for the day. Many people will recommend after cardio drinking something with some carbs for replenishment as well.0

You can drink them anytime.0

I don't care for protein shakes, so I just drink a class of milk. Or a stick of mozz cheese does well for me too.0

You can drink them anytime to help hit your protein minimums. There are no benefits to drinking a post workout shake other than adding to the amount of protein you consumed that day.0

Its impact on muscle development aside, there's research which indicates that whey protein supplementation can help with weight control by reducing appetite through creating a feeling of satiety.0
