I am need of a new phone and am trying to choose between the iphone 6 and note 5. I currently own a Samsung S3 (Android) and love the phone but it barely works now..so need a new phone asap.

Being in Canada, the price of the new iphone 6s is just insane.

Iphone 6 - 16GB - 2 yr contract - $268; 6plus is 400
Note 5 - 32 GB- 2 yr - $358
Iphone 6s - 16 GB - 2 yr - $400 :(

I am considering the iphone 6 because of price mainly but also cause I have an ipad and Macbook...so it fits my current tech ecosystem

The note 5 however does look pretty cool and offers a phablet experience and 32 GB at a better price point than the iphone plus.
There are pros and cons to both IOS and Android..but I personally don't think one is better than the other.

I have a Note 5. Came from a Nexus 6. I am not a fan. Screen is too sensitive. Plenty of mistyping takes place.

Are you using the stylus or hands to type? Aside from the mistyping, are there any other cons you have noticed from usage?

My biggest gripe with Android are the updates...not all devices get them at the same time.

I use my hands only. I have noticed the Note keeps A LOT of windows open. Sometimes multiple windows for same app. Not sure if this has caused the phone to re-open already open apps or not. However, the display is superb. The camera is excellent. Battery life is also pretty good.

Also, if you don't like the updates for Android, you might try the Nexus devices. I loved my Nexus 6 except for the heft of it. The new Nexus devices are much cheaper, run stock Android and should get monthly updates as well as first dibs on OS updates.
