Water Weight

Ok, so I really overdid it over the Holidays  , and as of this morning have gained 4 pounds. :explode:
I refuse to log it, however, because I'm 'hoping' that some or even most of it is water weight from all the extra crap I was chowing on - and extra sodium...
I started back in earnest Monday, have been doing OK so far with calories, etc... Worked out yesterday (LOVE ZUMBA) and will workout again today...
So if my gain was really water weight, how long should it take to 'leave' now that I'm back on track? In other words, how long do I have until I have to admit that I really gained those 4 pounds and have to take them back off??
Please help, O Wise Ones...

You know what is funny! is that is my same issue, i ate Like crazy over the holidays, and gained 4 pounds, i got obsessive with the working out the day after new years and i actually: as of yesterday dropped those dang 4 pounds! So you can do it! I totally understand. Plus ive been drinking my water every day as well.
Good Luck! :-)0 -
I too gained 4 lbs, and I too refuse to log it. However, I know mine isn't water weight because I KNOW I overate. But I'm back in it now, and in a few weeks my 4 will be gone... and so will yours :flowerforyou:0

I only log losses! If my ticker went up, I think I would give up! Just keep on keepin on and it will be gone before you know it!0

Thanks everyone... I'm hoping it goes quickly also...
as a matter of fact, after working out last night I was expecting it some of it to be gone this morning, and it wasn't... :grumble:
I just HATE going backwards.. and I got SO off my routine over the holidays.. fell back into a LOT of old habits... I knew better but I did it anyway...
still just curious if anyone knows the secrets to getting rid of water weight (drink extra water, workout a lot), etc...
Also, I thought I remembered reading something Banks wrote a while back about new fat going away faster than old fat... any thoughts on that?0
