Hi again. I'm back.
About 3 years ago I lost 18 kg. My highest ever weight was 72 kg and my lowest weight was 54 kg, though my goal was to be somewhere between 55 and 57. I'm 1m 54, so at 72 kg I was obese. At 57 I was on the "heavy side" of normal. Amazing, right? It took me a year and a half of counting calories and excercising but I did it. I was at goal, I was maintaining, and all of a sudden... that carrot that you keep dangling in front of you was gone. There was no incentive any more to deny myself all the yummy things I love so much. And I'm not even talking about the unhealthy things, necessarily.
But I did it, I stuck in there for a good half year. And then the stress hit. Work got super busy, the hubs and I moved, middle of a renovation, I lost my exercise pattern completely... in October-November last year I weighed in at 59 kg. Not disastrous, right? I mean, it was only 2 kgs heavier than I'd originally planned. So I started my gym membership again. But then, in March this year it was 62 kg. Ack! I had gained back 8 kilos of what I had lost! How could I let this happen? I've been working out quite continuously now, and honestly I think I may be in even better shape than I was when I was at my lowest weight. All my sports indicators are excellent! This is awesome! But I can't seem to control my eating - that's where the weight comes from, after all.
So, here I am again. I did it before, I can do it again. It's just quite frustrating that I have to do it again.

It's just... Like I said, it's not even that I'm eating massive amounts of food and really unhealthy. The weight has crept back over a period of a year -year and a half. I love fruit. I like to have a beer or a glass of wine every now and then. So, little by little, almost unnoticed...
On the other hand, apparently I did learn something from my previous stint "in the program" because I most definitely did NOT relapse into eating a whole tub of ice cream in one sitting or having a bag of chips for dinner. Gotta focus on the positive!0
