I've used MFP a few times in the past, however, before I didn't know where to start. I attempted to lose weight but had no idea how many calories to eat, what to eat, what the heck macros are, and what in the world is keto? Well, this time I'm back with a new account and more informed, with a nutritionist and gym membership to help me along the way. Hoping to lose ~150 to 200 pounds.

A little bit about myself: my name is Cari, and I'm currently a student. I enjoy playing video games and programming. I hope to make a few new friends along this journey and get healthier! Feel free to add me :)

    Hi Cari :]
It's easy to be overwhelmed by the amount of 'information' on offer. The truth is, it doesn't need to be difficult. Many people here follow there own types of plans. Some count macro's (I don't - too confusing). Some follow the keto diet (I don't - I love carbs). There are so many conflicting views and opinions on how to go about this but don't be intimidated by it. It all comes to down to one factor - a calorie deficit.

If you eat at a calorie deficit, you'll lose weight. That is all there is to it. Of course, it's good to eat 'healthy food' but do it your way whilst sticking with that deficit and you'll see your results. :)

The more you know the better. Having a strong foundation like a nutritionist and dedicated gym time will be a big help. Add me if you would like
