Hit a plateau

I've so far lost about 60 lbs. I need to still lose over a 100, but I've just hit my first plateau I think. I've been working out about 6 days a week doing both cardio and strength, eating healthy, watching my portions, but nothing seems to help. My weight has been at a stand still for weeks now. It's really discouraging, and I'm wondering if any of you have advice on breaking through and continuing losing weight?! I need some motivation to keep me going!

How many weeks?
Are you weighing all your food and logging accurately with double checks against the MFP database?
Are you maintaining a calorie defecit across the week
What strength programme are you following?
How are you logging your exercise burns? Are you halving MFP database estimates? Are you using an HRM for steady state cardio only? Are you halving machine burns?
Is this a recent programme of exercise, are you due on? Have you had excess sodium or gone low carb then gone back to a more 'normal' eating pattern0 -

If you're watching your portions but not logging carefully, then that may be the issue. I would imagine that 60 lbs lost has changed your calorie needs alot. WTG, btw. That's fantastic!
I have noticed that I cannot eat as much as I first could and still lose, now that I've dropped some weight. Actually that makes sense to me.0 -
If your weight hasn't changed for, say, 6-8 then you're eating too much.0

Most likely water weight for muscles. Lower your salt intake if you can.0

I would not worry. It's normal and you must be patient and maintain your appropriate calorie deficit.0

How long has it been?0

congratulations on your fantastic loss ! After such a great loss, I would eat at maintenance for 1 month or so. Once you have stabilized your weight, you can cut again some calories. You have achieved a lot already, don't get discouraged.0

Congratulations on your loss so far! That's an amazing amount. How long have you been stalled for? Are you weighing all your food and logging accurately? Using cups and spoons is significantly less accurate than an electronic scale. How are you measuring your exercise burns?
Don't get discouraged! This is only a hiccup.0 -
A couple of things I've done to break a plateau - eat at maintenance for a week or so and then start eating a deficit again; change up your exercise; and if those do not work, start carefully counting your macros and staying within those limits- I have found that one of those things will break a plateau when you are doing absolutely everything right as far as weighing everything and logging everything. Congratulations on your loss so far- remember to trust the process- don't give up.0
