I am in my late 40's and after being in great health and fit my whole life, I have gained 20 pounds. After having 4 kids I was able to stay at a healthy weight but got out of being active due to hypothyroidism. I started working out and managing my thyroid as well as eating clean (well 80-90% of the time) but have continued to gain weight slowly. Hoping to get some inspiration and hear from anyone that has dealt with similar issues who can tell me that they were able to lose weight.

The trick is to make sure they have your meds correct. I had hypothyroidism and had my whole thyroid removed due to papillary thyroid cancer. Eating clean is a plus and keep on moving. My weight is coming off at a snail pace.. But when you have had thyroid issues the numbers creeping down is better than up.

I see a naturopathic doctor and my thyroid levels look good now but my cortisol is off though so we are working on improving that now. Congrats on losing the weight!
