The main thing that is available for diabetics on this site is the sugar counter. Lots of people use it in the belief that its of relevance to them. The only people counting sugar is relevant to are diabetics.
What else would help? or do you expect?
As a diabetic, i can tell you should aim to keep your carbs generally fairly low. You will find losing weight easier. To compensate for lowered carbs you need to increase your fat to ensure you have sufficient energy.
Protein should be stable but make sure you are eating the right amount. And try to spread it fairly evenly across all your meals to get the most benefit.
I also recommend spreading your calories even throughout the day. That is make each of your three meals round about the same size, calories wise.
As a diabetic you should learn about the glycaemic index. google it. MOst of your carbs should be low GI foods.0 -
Thanks for the reply - I have been doing what you discussed but I will definitely research more low GI foods..
Thanks so much!0
