I need some recipe ideas and suggestions for breakfast,lunch and snacks. My creativity for food is fading and need some low calorie options. Its hard for me to find low calorie options cuz he is frugal so only buys cheap stuff that he finds mostly from Kroger,occasionally Wal-Mart and Costco so he will bring home higher calorie options sometimes

Fat free cottage cheese is a good option ,celery and peanut butter even hard boiled eggs are good snack choices. ..0

I made a pretty tasty breakfast dish yesterday, pretty cheap especially considering the amount of servings you get out of it. It's kind of like a quiche. Mixed a dozen eggs with cheese, mushrooms, onions, spinach, garlic, salt and pepper. I got a can of biscuits, layered them at the bottom of a baking pan, poured the egg mixture over the top and baked at 350 for around 45 minutes. It came out to 12 good sized servings, 233 calories a piece. I used a lot of cheese, though. You can definitely make it lower calorie by using less cheese ( I used two cups) , or by using half whole eggs, half egg whites. You could also add sausage or ham, if you like, or different/no veggies. Very versatile recipe!0

I'm sorry I'm picky and weird lol I don't like raw celery or cottage cheese. I like celery and carrots but only if they are cooked

150g Fat fee natural yoghurt, an almond vanilla protein bar and 30g of chocolate MyProtein 0 calorie syrup is my go to snack! As for dinners, omelettes are great as you can add pretty much anything to then! Spinach, chicken, onion, Jalapenos, you name it! I have lots of food ideas on my Instagram if that would be of any help? :') jess_howes just in case! ☺️0

I made myself a veggie scramble this morning! The most calorific items were the butter and eggs, eggs being about 90 cal each, (I used one 90 cal egg)
And a tablespoon of butter being 100 cal.
I sautéed a quarter onion and a quarter bell pepper with a clove of garlic in butter until the onions were translucent and the peppers were soft.
Then I added spinach (since you already said you didn't like spinach you could do..maybe chopped broccoli? Kale? You could even add boiled potatoes and fry those, though those would be a bit higher in calories and carbs.)
And seasoned it well with salt, pepper, and Cajun seasoning mix and let it cook until the spinach was soft.
Then I beat one egg and poured it over the veggies and cooked that until it had the texture of scrambled eggs.
Serve with your favorite hot sauce or salsa. I used sriracha.

The most frugal lunch of all is leftovers from the night before. I find for the two of us I'll cook a serving for four, he eats two and I eat one. The leftovers are packed right there for the following day.
I use wraps or salads to jazz up leftovers, meats, stews, and chilis for lunch the following day.
I find I am most creative when I cruise the refrigerator for what needs to be used up and combine it in a new creative way.
Bits of onions and vegetables can be chopped up and put in a frittata or a quiche. It is so handy to have eggs on hand.0 -
Costco has some pretty creative snacks, like the Snappea crisps, gluten-free crackers, bulk yogurt, tuna snack kits, and black bean pasta.
