Wait until the end of the day. If at the end of the day you have burned 500 calories more than consumed, you will lose about 1lb per week. On a daily basis if you burn more calories than you take in you will lose weight. 3500 calories burned is about 1lb of weight loss. The important thing to remember is that you never want to eat less than 1200 calories a day because that puts your body into starvation mode, your body then holds every calorie it can get, and your metabolism slows down. Does that make sense? If you have more questions send me a message. "jazpiri"
  • Keep in mind that this site builds in a calorie deficit. To see what your "Normal Daily Life" calorie is versus the calories you have to eat for weight loss, go to "Goals". They have probably already built in a 500 calorie deficit (without exercise) to get you a 1 lb weight loss/week, so you should have all the calories they say on here.

Please read the newbie info under all topics, general, to help you with your confusion. Also, under help at the top, there's quite a bit of info there too, from what I remember, way back when I was a newbie.
