I'm trying to lose 30 lbs by walking everyday and cutting calories and keeping it off

    Set your MFP goal to losing .5-1 lb a week. This is a reasonable loss when you have 30 lb to lose.
    Weigh all your food on a digital food scale, and measure your liquids with cups and spoons.

    If you are walking at a reasonable speed for fittness, log your walks and eat back 50-75% of those calories ( MFP overestimate estimates)

    You have a good plan, stick with it.
