Trying to find healthy snack ideas but I'm a college student with a minimum wage job. So i wanna know if anyone knows any healthy snack ideas that can be made from common grocery list items. Simple salads and such.

Here are some of my go-to snacks: hard boiled eggs, hummus & veggies, protein bars, Greek yogurt, beef or turkey jerky, popcorn, wasabi peas, apples & peanut butter, string cheese or cheese sticks0

I have been doing Hummus and veggies too. I buy plain hummus or make my own. For variety I will add a mix-in like; diced pickled jalapenos, pesto, diced sundried tomatoes, diced roasted red peppers, roasted garlic or siracha.
I also buy a 8 oz block of cheese and cut it into 1 oz pieces. Then I take 1 oz cheese, mixed nuts and dried fruit.

@dklibert - where did you get those jars with the little cup insert? I love 'em!0

@Queenmunchy those little cup inserts were a hack posted here on MFP recently. These are the little cups from the apple sauce single serving packs! So you can re-use those little cups.0

@taylor_fairfax you might want to invest in some snack size plastic containers. Then you can repackage crackers and yogurt in to your own mini-packs and save a bundle. Chickpeas are good. They can be made in to a snack food by roasting them. Popcorn is inexpensive.0

I recycle or use empty Dole fruit cups. But you can buy BNTO from Cuppow.

Cheese and crackers or peanut butter and crackers. Bagged carrots, and cut them in to baby carrots yourself.0

I like reusing the apple sauce containers. Great idea!!0
